Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC
#11 | Camryn Strain | ST
Strain showed once again why she is the cream of the crop for strikers in the Grad 2026 class during the League Cup Final. Strain had a natural hattrick, each goal demonstrating her knack in front of goal. Her best was a bullet header from about 8-yards out after finding space between the two central defenders, attacking a fantastic cross like a pro.
#13 | Brooklyn Jones | CB
Jones was calm, composed, and resolute for her team in central defense. Playing as the central defender in a back-three, her positioning was fantastic both in and out of possession. Jones was always creating an angle to receive the ball and kept possession under any duress or pressure from the opponent. Out of possession, she was always in the right spot to break up play, block a shot, or win a tackle.
#7 | Kaya Sather | CDM
Sather affects all facets of the game and is integral to the success of her side. Off the ball, she screens passes so effectively, constantly stopping forward passes from the opponents, while denying any sort of momentum or rhythm building spells of possession. On the ball, her composure and technical ability put her in a class of her own. Sather constantly finds the right pass and makes the right decisions.
Burnaby FC
#7 Laiken Van Rooyen | ST
Van Rooyen was Burnaby FC’s brightest attacker during the final. She looked to find space out wide, in between the wingbacks and central defenders, and create chances for herself and teammates. Van Rooyen was the creative spark for BFC offensively, as she needed only a half yard to pick her pass, or have a shot of her own to threaten the opposing goal.
#14 | Hayden Valentine | CB
Valentine has all the tools and her size, athleticism, and compete was on full display as she is always difficult to get the better of. Defensively, Valentine doesn’t shy away from physical battles, using her size and strength to keep opposing strikers away from dangerous areas. She also has great athleticism to cover and protect the space in behind. Offensively, Valentine carries the ball well and looks to drive forward and find line-breaking passes.
#6 | Julie Dirom | CM
Dirom is a composed figure in Burnaby FC’s central midfield. Nothing phases her, including the press of her opponents, as she constantly keeps the ball, usually with a forward pass. The links the play between her defensive line and front three, as she constantly finds half spaces to exploit. Off the ball Dirom splits space between opponents to screen passes and intercept opposing attacks.
