What else can be said about Two-time MVC Defender of the Year Kyle Hiebert?

La Salle, Manitoba product Kyle Hiebert is a player any coach would be thrilled to have leading their back-line. Hiebert was listed as a Semi-Finalist for the MAC Herman Award, meaning he is considered a top fifteen player currently competing in the NCAA with his cool, calm and collected play in the defensive third. After finishing his Senior season with Missouri State, Hiebert will be leaving as one of the most accomplished players in the program’s history.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Hiebert takes as much pride in his performance on the field as he does in the classroom. The soon to be accounting major was featured on the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team in 2017, 2018 and 2019 as well as MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2019 amongst various other academic awards for his studying efforts.

Hiebert was absolutely stellar when challenged by opposing attackers this past season. As Team Captain, Kyle guided the team to an astonishing 12-1-0 record on the season and the 13th seed in the NCAA National Championships. The sensational center-back captained the side in all thirteen matches, recording one goal and one assist to go along with his tremendous defensive play.

2021 marked Hiebert’s final season of NCAA eligibility but with a player of Hiebert’s caliber, it is highly unlikely the road ends here. Time can only tell if there is a professional football career in Hiebert’s but regardless it is evident this young man will be successful in whatever path he decides to indulge in.
