Canadian International Gabby Carle was a dominant force on the back end for the Seminoles in 2020/21. Carle is one of those player that is effective in any role in any position she is called upon as she started her career at Florida State as a midfielder before transitioning to her role as a defender. Carle has been an evident leader on a very strong squad throughout her four seasons with the Seminoles, she even helped her team secure an NCAA National Title in 2018.
Carle spent her years in youth soccer playing for Dynamo de Quebec. Throughout her youth soccer career Gabby won many prestigious awards such as the 2015 Junior Player of the Province and 2016 Senior Player of the Province. She started her journey with the Canadian National team in 2014 as a participant at the U-17 Women’s World Cup and has been a fixture in the squad ever since. Off the field, Gabby is pursuing a degree in Exercise Physiology.
This season, Carle started thirteen games for the Seminoles contributing two goals and one assist on the season. Playing primarily in a defensive role, the Levis, Quebec product has racked up five goals and eight assists for eighteen points in seventy-three games played during her time with FSU. Carle is one of those individuals who is bound to be successful on and off the field and the future of this young Canadian star is definitely looking bright.
