Decorated Canadian International Julia Grosso has Canadian soccer pundits very excited about the future of the Canadian National Team Program. The 2018 All-Big 12 Freshmen of the Year was terrific in her first season and has not turned back ever since. Grosso is currently the top ranked Canadian Female on the Top Drawer Top-100 Rankings.

Grosso was born in Vancouver, British Columbia to a family of four, including her sister Carli Grosso who plays for Simon Fraser University. She spent her youth soccer career player for Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite and was named British Columbia Female Player of the Year in 2017. As of May 2021, Grosso has recorded twenty-one appearances for the number eight ranked Canadian Women’s National Team including eight starts and two assists.

A member of the 2019 All-Big 12 First Team continued her very impressive play with a phenomenal Junior season. Grosso registered five goals and four assists in order to rack up fourteen points on the season. The future sport management major always steps up in the clutch, scoring the game winning goal on two separate occasions in 2020/21.

For the foreseeable future, Grosso will continue to terrorize opposing midfields with her relentless work ethic and skilled prowess. As she enters her senior season, Grosso will look to put an end to an exceptional collegiate career as she continues to bolster Canadas midfield on the International stage. The sky is the limit for the twenty year old midfielder.
