It was an action-packed two days at the 1st Annual FTF x FC Laval Showcase Tuesday, July 11th and Wednesday 12th as five high-quality teams competed for the inaugural tournament championship.
The teams participating in this event were the hosts FC Laval 2006 Girls, FC Berlin HP, Burlington Force 2006/2007 Girls, Soccer Quebec U19’s and NDC Quebec.
After the group stage/ round robin games there was a 3-way tie for 1st place between NDC Quebec, Soccer Quebec and hosts FC Laval. Due to a tie-breaker, NDC Quebec and Soccer Quebec made it to the finals, while FC Laval played in the bronze medal game versus Burlington Force.
The Bronze medal game ended 5-0 for FC Laval with soon to be mentioned 1st Team All-Star Eva Vespa putting on an absolute shooting clinic. While NDC Quebec managed to outlast Soccer Quebec U19 3-2 in an exciting final game.
