The Playbook | Top U17/2007 Girls Teams in Canada (September 2024)

September has been an eventful month for the U17/2007 Girls teams in Canada, with several teams in the Top 10 competing in the PDP U17 Cup. Here are the top-ranked teams:

Rankings (W-D-L)

  1. Calgary Foothills 07G | APDL
    • Performance: Calgary Foothills remain at the number one spot after winning gold at PDP U17 Cup in August.
  2. Markham City FC | OPDL
    • League Record: 8 Wins, 1 Draw, 0 Losses
    • Performance: Markham City FC jumps up to second place after an impressive 8-1-0 in the OPDL season. They dominated competition in the month of September, with cohesive output from multiple standout players on their team.
  3. Celtic Haut-Richelieu | PLSJQ
    • Record: 13 Wins, 3 Draws, 2 Losses
    • Performance: Celtic Haut-Richelieu sits at the top of the PLSJQ with a 5 point gap after 18 games. 
  4. AS Laval | PLSJQ
    • Record: 10 Wins, 6 Draws, 2 Losses
    • Performance: AS Laval finished 3rd in the PLSJQ with 36 points, 6 points off the leader, Celtic Haut-Richelieu. What keeps them so high in the standings is their 2nd place finish at PDP Cup. 
  5. 1v1 Futbol Dreams U17G PR1 | MSA
    • Record: 8 Wins, 0 Draws, 0 Losses
    • Performance: 1v1 Futbol Dreams’ stay consistent with their performances with 5 Wins and 0 losses in September. They now compete against some top level sides in the Toyota National Championship.  
  6. Alliance FC | WRSL
    • Performance: Alliance FC took home the trophy in the 2024 MilkUp Ontario Cup with a convincing 3-0 win over Bradford Union FC. With Toyota Nationals starting this week, we look forward to watching this top team ball out against some of the best in the country.
  7. HCU U17AAA Girls | NSSL
    • Performance: HCU kicks off their Nationals tournament this week. They hold their spot in the Top 10.
  1. BTB WFC (Shilin) U17G | EMSA
    • Performance: BTB defeated Edmonton Juventus in the ASA Provincials to crown them provincial champions and earn a spot in the Top 10.
  2. Coastal FC | BCSPL
    • Record: 4 Wins, 0 Draws, 1 Loss
    • Performance: Coastal currently sits on the top of the BCSPL (mini season).
  3. BVB Waterloo | OPDL
    • Record: 6 Wins, 1 Draw, 2 Losses
    • Performance: BVB finished second place in the OPDL after going undefeated in the month of September. Some sensational performances and resilience showed from this well-assembled side.
