Exceptional Standouts:
Goalkeeper MVP – Maeve Hagarty | Guelph Union/United L1R | 2025 Grad
The Goalkeeper MVP for the FTF Vancouver March Break Combine was awarded to Maeve Hagarty, currently playing for Guelph Union and United L1R. Maeve was consistent throughout the Combine. Maeve’s bravery in the box to challenge players in 1v1 situations was a cut above. Maeve does well in cutting off angles of attack with her body positioning. Coupled with sharp reflexes and reactionary shot-stopping, Maeve solidified any backline.
Defender MVP – CB – Nyah Cruickshank | VI Wave | 2026 Grad
The Defender MVP for the FTF Vancouver March Break Combine was awarded to Nyah Cruickshank, currently playing for VI Wave 2008 in the BCSPL, was a defensive unit for Team #4 at the Combine. The way that she anticipates and steps in front of defenders to win the ball highlighted her stellar athleticism. Nyah was also tidy and quick on the ball, often evading pressure and connecting her short passes into the midfield. With increased positional work and range of passing Nyah will be a fantastic prospective recruit.
Midfielder MVP – CM – Lia Russell | BC Surf Select | 2026 Grad
The Midfielder MVP for the FTF Vancouver March Break Combine is Lia Russell from BC Surf Select. Lia quietly left her mark on the pitch with delicate movements, passing and finishing. There was a moment throughout the Combine where she glided past two defenders, took a positive touch in the box and calmly slotted it past the keeper. Lia possesses so many good qualities in a midfielder and we are excited to see her reach new heights.
Attacking MVP – ST – Myla Ewasiuk | Surrey United | 2027 Grad
The Attacking MVP for the FTF Vancouver March Break Combine is Myla Ewasiuk from Surrey United SC. The 2009 born ST is a goal machine. Tallying over 5 goals in the Combine, Myla poses so much attacking threat. Whether it be her ability to gain a yard on a defender with a long stride and slot it past the keeper, or rope it with exceptional power through bodies of traffic, she can do both. As she continues to develop poise with her frame and sharpens her technical ability in the final third, Myla has a ceiling like no other player her age.
Young Player MVP – CAM – Constance Ko | Vancouver United | 2027 Grad
The Young Player MVP of the FTF Vancouver March Break Combine is Constance Ko, 2009 born from Vancouver United. Constance was one of the most intelligent players on the pitch with her ability to read the game. She understands where to be at what time to pick up any second balls and tuck a few in the back of the net. Apart from being positionally sound, she has a creative and technical nature to her, offering a dynamic threat of beating players, slipping her teammates in behind. Her ability to drive at back lines forces defenders to make a decision, exploiting space in behind. A talented young prospect that will only excel with increased athleticism.
Overall MVP – CM – Kaya Sather | CMFSC | 2026 Grad
The Overall MVP for the FTF Vancouver March Break Combine is Kaya Sather from Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC. The 2008 born midfielder dictated tempo from start to finish. The ball was always ticking. What stood out with Kaya was her ability to complete the action. She would carefully dribble out of pressure, connect a pass and then consistently scan to identify her next movement. With increased coordination in her tall frame, along with the ability to cover ground Kaya has extremely high potential.
